Jacques le Roux is the Chief Executive Officer of Sanlam Financial Markets. He holds an AMP from MIT, a Master’s in Financial Engineering (Cum Laude) from the University of Pretoria, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Tax Law from UCT. He also holds Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation from the Global Association of Risk Professionals.

Jacques has extensive experience in asset-liability management of complex long dated financial products, financial structuring, and balance sheet optimization within the financial services sector. Before his current role, he served as the Executive Head of Structured Solutions at Liberty Financial Solutions where he was instrumental in establishing and ultimately leading this business unit. His career began at Standard Bank, Corporate and Investment Bank, focusing on quantitative analytics and later securitisation/debt capital markets.

He is recognized for conceptualizing and executing large-scale balance sheet strategies, derivative-based solutions, and innovative funding models, delivering significant growth and revenue impact across leading financial institutions.
