Liberty/Standard Bank may host events from time to time which we may invite you to attend in person or virtually, or which we may host as a combination of the two.
1. I understand that:
1.1 I may be given the option to attend the event in person and/or virtually; and
1.2 my acceptance of this invitation from Liberty/Standard Bank is entirely voluntary and at my own risk and that I am fully aware of all risks pertaining to my acceptance of this invitation.
2. Where I choose to accept an invitation to attend an event in person, I undertake to comply with all of the requirements set out by Liberty/Standard Bank and/or the organisers which may include the wearing of masks, the completion of screening processes or questionnaires, social distancing and sanitising and/or any other health and safety protocols required by Liberty/Standard Bank or applicable laws and regulations from time to time.
3. In respect of Covid-19, I understand that while Liberty/Standard Bank and/or the relevant organisers of the event may implement safety measures to reduce the spread of Covid-19, neither Liberty/Standard Bank nor any of the organisers or third parties involved in the event, can guarantee that attendees or participants at the event will not become infected with Covid-19. Where I choose to attend an event in person, I do so entirely at my own risk
4. I understand that my personal health, safety, and security are important to Liberty/Standard Bank and that all reasonable steps have been taken to ensure this. However, it is important that I act responsibly and take the necessary measures for my personal safety and that of my belongings at the event.
5. I understand that due to the nature of the Covid-19 pandemic, any event may be cancelled or suspended by the organisers shortly before it is scheduled to begin, and that Liberty/Standard Bank has no control over this and may not always be in a position to provide me with adequate notice prior to such cancellation or suspension. In such circumstances, Liberty/Standard Bank will not be liable for any losses, damages or inconvenience to me or any third party resulting from such cancellation or suspension.
6. The views and opinions (Information) which will be expressed and delivered at the event are for information purposes only and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of Liberty/Standard Bank and/or any of its subsidiaries and holding companies and their subsidiaries and holding companies (Liberty/Standard Bank). The Information to be provided does not constitute advice and is not to be relied upon as independent professional advice of any kind. The Liberty/Standard Bank makes no warranties or representations (implied or otherwise) as to the accuracy, completeness or fitness for purpose of the Information to be provided or that it is free from errors or omissions. The Liberty/Standard Bank and its employees, agents and representatives accept no liability for any loss, damage or claim arising from the use of any Information presented or shared as part of the event. The Information provided may not be forwarded, distributed or disclosed to any third party without the prior written consent of the Liberty/Standard Bank.
7. Where an event is to be hosted virtually, I understand that an invitation to the event is personal to the recipient. The invitation may not be forwarded or shared, and the event may not be accessed by any person other than the recipient without the prior written consent of the Liberty/Standard Bank.
8. Where an event is hosted virtually, while the Liberty/Standard Bank will make every effort to ensure that it is accessible to all invitees, we are not responsible for any connectivity or other technical difficulties which prevent invitees from accessing the event. The event may be held on third party digital platforms which are not hosted or managed by the Liberty/Standard Bank. I understand that I may need to create an account and submit personal information on these platforms and when doing so, I am submitting my personal information to third parties and not to the Liberty/Standard Bank. Any information I am required to share and submit on these third-party digital platforms, are subject to the policies and terms (if applicable) of third party digital platforms who are not associated with the Liberty/Standard Bank. The Liberty/Standard Bank is not responsible for their security, privacy practices or content. Liberty/Standard Bank recommends that I always read the privacy and security statements on these third-party digital platforms.
9. This event may be recorded and by participating in the event, I consent to being part of such recordings and the collection and processing of my personal information from the recording, my comments, statements, views and opinions made at the event. I agree that any personal information I provide can be shared in the webinar and may be distributed or published after the event. If I do not agree, I must notify Liberty/Standard Bank immediately after the event. I understand there may be photographs and or video footage of me during the event and consent to be so photographed or filmed. I further agree that Liberty/Standard Bank may use such photographs and/or video footage in any advertising, promotional or public relations material and that there will be no financial or other compensation to me for my images being used.
10. Liberty/Standard Bank will not be responsible for any loss that I may suffer in connection with the event, whether I attend physically or virtually. I agree that Liberty/Standard Bank can hold me legally responsible for any damages or losses I cause to Liberty/Standard Bank or any third parties at the event.
11. I understand that if I accept an invitation to an event from Liberty/Standard Bank on behalf of a partner or third party, I will also need to accept this Disclaimer on behalf of that person and in such a case, all references in this document to “I/me/my/mine” will be deemed to be references to myself and the third party on behalf of whom I am accepting this Disclaimer. Where I am accepting this Disclaimer on behalf of a third party, I warrant that I have informed that third party of the content of this Disclaimer and have received their informed and express permission to
11.1 accept this Disclaimer on their behalf; and
11.2 share and permit Liberty/Standard Bank to process, their personal information for the purposes of the event.

The provisions of this Disclaimer shall, to the extent permitted by law, be binding on my heirs, executors, administrators and/or trustees.
