Igor Salzgeber heads up the global product group for Securities Finance & Collateral within FIS’ Capital Markets division. The global product group has 250+ clients and combines all solutions and services FIS has to support the Securities Finance & Collateral markets including the Securities Finance Trading and Collateral Platform (SFTC, aka Next Generation of Global One), the Loanet suite of products, Smart Loan, Apex Securities Finance and GIO (Global Inventory Management and Optimization). The main focus of its present role is to actively drive modernization and innovation within FIS’ solutions portfolio to maintain and expand the market leading position FIS has in this space.

Igor joined FIS (formerly SunGard) through an acquisition in 2012 and was appointed to run a newly formed business unit for Collateral Management. He implemented a strategic investment initiative SunGard had to deliver a market-leading solution for Enterprise Collateral Management.

Igor’s career in the Securities Finance and Collateral industry started in early 2002 where he was part of a startup company of banking and technology experts in Zurich/Switzerland named IFBS. He was one of the lead architects to design and develop an integrated software solution for Securities Lending, Repo, Synthetic Finance and cross-product collateral management for bilateral and cleared derivatives. He held various positions along the entire spectrum and value chain of a software vendor including Product Design & Development, Product Management, Consulting and Implementation Services, Pre-Sales and Business Development. Igor holds a degree in computer science and has a remarkable domain knowledge and track record of building and delivering innovative technology solutions for the industry.
