Henk Kruger is the Head of Equity Finance and Linear Derivatives at Absa, responsible for overseeing the bank’s Delta One trading, Synthetic Financing, Securities Lending and broader equity-linked funding activities. An 18-year industry veteran, he cofounded Absa’s Equity Finance desk, growing it into a strategic pillar of the Global Markets franchise and a key contributor to the bank’s cross-asset funding and collateral optimisation strategy.

Before joining Absa, Henk worked as a Structurer at Momentum Specialized Solutions, where he developed derivative products and bespoke risk-transfer solutions for institutional clients. His background combines actuarial training, quantitative modelling, derivative structuring and leadership across trading and balance sheet optimisation.

Henk holds a BSc (Hons) in Actuarial Science from the University of Pretoria and is a CFA Charter holder.
